Liberte aan zee
If you book at Liberte aan zee, you agree with the terms and conditions below.
Liberte aan Zee:
detached with a gravel driveway and private parking and entrance. Lighting with motion detector. The living / bedroom and bathroom are located on the first floor, accessible by a steep staircase. Downstairs is enough space for shoes / boots and the dog (s). The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, Senseo coffee machine, coffee and tea are available. Bathroom with toilet and sink and walk-in shower. There is a water softener (note: you can use less soap and shampoo otherwise it will get slippery in the shower). Wardrobe with hangers. Central heating with the thermostat control on the bar in the living room, it also controls the heating in the bathroom. Free WIFI. Cable TV with channels in Dutch, German, French and English.
There is a fly screen to keep the insects out. Linen and bed linen are provided. Washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board.
There is, among other things, hand gel 75% Alcohol (WHO standard) available at the front door from a dispenser.
Bookings:
We only handle reservations from people who are 18 years or older. Reservations made by persons younger are therefore not valid.
Payments:
When booking the guest will pay 50% of the travel sum. The remaining 50% will be payed no later than 2 weeks before arrival. In case of late payment, you will be in default immediately after the term for payment has expired. In that case we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without a refund of your amount due.
House rules:
The guests adhere to the house rules of Liberte aan Zee. The host and hostess are always ready to help. Privacy is respected and highly valued. If desired, we can tell or show you more about the area. The house has a guest information document with tips and brochures. We are approaching you as much as possible via email to enquire whether we can do something for you without violating your privacy too much.
No smoking in the accommodation.
Please park your car behind the horse trailer for optimal privacy. Note the protruding / overhanging thatched roof.
Do you want to keep your dog(s) on a leash on our site? Their feces / needs are allowed to be thrown in the container so that the next guests are not bothered.
Barbecuing is not allowed in the dry period(s), due to the restriction of open fire in the nature areas around us, in combination with the thatched roof of the houses. Please check with your hosts prior to using the barbeque. Certain times of the year it is not allowed due to high fire risk.
Checkin in: You are welcome with us from 3 pm.
Checking out: We request that you check out before 11 am. Any late check-out in consultation.
Environment:
Ecofriendly / green: All energy comes from our own solar panels. Waste is separated. There is a reusable shopping bag and food storage trays available for you. All lamps are LED lighting.
You can help the world by collecting waste separately: green container for compost, orange for plastic and cans and gray for other household waste. The containers are at our back door. There is a bottle bank and a paper container at the port. Thanks, on behalf of nature!
If the guest does not comply with the agreed upon house rules, the owners reserve the right to request the guests to leave. No refund will me applicable.
The following information is requested from you before booking (see also the mandatory privacy statement):

Cancellations:
Guests can cancel up to 7 days before check-in. They are then entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
After confirmation of your booking, you are allowed one free change of arival date (upon availability).
Guests may rebook their stay to another date once within 6 months, if available, if requested 6 weeks before arrival and with the hosts consent. The hosts can refuse this without reason.
Cancellation without penaltyis only possible in extenuating circumstances that occurred before the official arrival date of the reservation.

Unexpected serious illness or injury of a member of the travel party
You will be asked to provide a doctor's certificate stating that the person is unable to travel due to an unexpected, serious illness or injury. The statement must be dated after the time the reservation is made and provided within 2 days of cancellation. At this point, pre-existing conditions that were known to the user are not subject to our refund terms.
Transportation problems
that make it impossible to travel to us, such as road closures and canceled flights, and where we cannot be reached in any other way. This includes closures and cancellations due to natural disasters such as earthquakes or severe storms. You will be asked to provide a road closure notice or documentation from the airline regarding the cancellation of the flight, along with proof that it was impossible to travel to us. Cancellation of trains, buses or ferries without other travel options on the same day . You will be asked to please provide documentation clearly showing that the carrier was not operating on that day, such as a screenshot of the company's website or a link to an official statement from the carrier.
Natural disasters, terrorist activities and social / political commotion
preventing guests from traveling to or from us or making it unsafe to welcome you. An epidemic or disease that suddenly affects a region or a whole group of people. When an outbreak of a disease occurs, we adapt our policy and its applicability to the reporting of the World Health Organization (WHO) and local authorities, being the Dutch government, the Zeeland security region and the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland.
Travel restrictions
imposed by a government, law enforcement or military organization that restrict travel to or from us. Changes to passport or visa requirements making it impossible to travel to destination within 2 weeks of departure. Lost or expired travel documents are not covered.
We may cancel or rebook your trip if we cannot receive you safely or if the government prohibits your stay. You will then receive the full travel sum. For example, in the event of a failure of essential utilities that affect our location.
Liability / complaints / damage
a. The tenant is fully liable in the relevant rental period in the rented holiday home for all damage that has arisen to the house, the inventory and all things belonging to the rented object, unless the tenant can demonstrate that the damage cannot be caused by him. We therefore recommend that you check the holiday home and inventory on arrival inspect for defects and shortcomings. If you discover damage or defects, please report this to us immediately.
b. We do not accept any liability for theft, loss or damage of or to objects or persons, of whatever nature, during or as a result of the stay in the holiday home. We do not accept liability for construction activities on the access and main roads, etc. in the vicinity of the rented holiday home. We do not accept any liability in the event of the failure or inoperative of technical equipment, utilities, the non-functioning or partial non-functioning of the internet.
c. The costs of normal maintenance and repair of defects are at our expense. If defects occur, the tenant must inform us immediately and follow our instructions as much as possible. Potential by tenant consultation costs incurred in this regard will be reimbursed by us to the tenant on presentation of specified invoices.
d. If you still want to submit a complaint, it must be submitted to us in writing and with reasons within 14 days after leaving the holiday home.
Arrival and stay
The studio will be ready for you from 3 pm. The door is open and the key is on the inside. You can park the car behind the trailer on the right side of the house, so that you have maximum privacy. There are 3 bicycles available if you wish (free). If you want to use this, you will receive the code for the lock from us.
Departure and final cleaning
Since Covid, we would like to ask you for the following (extra) help. On departure, would please put all used linen (bed linen, towels, tea towels) in the washing machine with an Ariel tablet and turn it on at 60 degrees, turn on the dishes in the dishwasher on the hottest program and put all rubbish from the bathroom and kitchen in the container at the door? Furthermore, please open the window and let it air out, so that the next guests can come safely and we can clean safely.
